We reported earlier that Finance Minister Designate Ken Ofori-Atta has been flown to the United States over COVID-19 complications.

This was officially announced by a statement from the Finance Ministry.

The statement reads that after recovering from Coronavirus last December, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta had medical complications which doctors advised that he be flown out of the country for further intervention currently not available in Ghana.

Well, the latest is a grapevine that is fast spreading asserting that Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta has died while in the United States.

A publication by African Entertainment notes that they have received unconfirmed reports from the USA indicate that the Finance Minister-designate is dead.

“Unconfirmed reports reaching African Entertainment indicates that Ghana’s Finance Minister-Designate, Ken Ofori-Atta, has died in the US from coronavirus complications,” The publication reads.
