BREAKING: Prof Jacob Plange-Rhule Is Dead Amidst Coronavirus Pandemic.
Ghana has lost a medical doctor, Educator Jacob Plange-Rhule to the cold hands of death amidst Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Jacob Plange-Rhule died on Friday morning at the University of Ghana Medical Centre, in Accra, where he had been on admission for a short while.
OccupyGh.com gathered from hospital sources that he had been referred to the Centre from a private care and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with a critical condition.
However within a few days he showed great signs of recovering from his ailment and looked hearty, chatting with family and friends alike when all of a sudden he relapsed and gave up Friday morning.
Jacob Plange-Rhule was the former Rector of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS) and past president of the Ghana Kidney Association (GKA).
Before he was appointed the head of the GCPS, Professor Plange-Rhule was the Head of the Department of Physiology at the KNUST School of Medical Sciences, and a Consultant Physician in the Department of Medicine at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
