The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) in Ghana has arrested a Kenyan national, Njeri Mary, who was caught smuggling 11.04kg of cocaine worth $309,120 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
The suspect was reportedly apprehended by NACOC officials during routine checks at the arrival hall.
The 35-year-old Kenyan national is currently in custody and is set to be arraigned in court on drug trafficking charges.
This is the latest in a series of drug busts made by the Ghanaian authorities in efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse in the country.
