In an exclusive interview with Adinkra Multimedia NY, Ghanaian artist Kuami Eugene shared harrowing details of his recent car accident, which occurred on Sunday, March 17, 2024, near the DSTV office in Accra.
Eugene revealed that after recording a song with an underground artist at his Rockstar Made It studio in Achimota, he offered to drop the gentleman off at Lapaz to save him transportation costs.
This detour led him to take an unconventional route, which ultimately resulted in the accident.
As he made a U-turn to join the main road, Eugene was momentarily blinded by the bright light from the street cameras along the Achimota stretch, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Fortunately, he escaped severe injury, but the incident left him shaken.
The “Canopy” hitmaker expressed gratitude for his narrow escape and credited the detour for possibly saving his life.
