Landlord Who Canceled House Rents For 63 Students Tenant During COVID-19 Receives An Award

If you would recall, a few months ago, a local landlord waived the house rent for all his 63 students in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Well, the landlord, Mr. Steven Ukpabi has finally been awarded for his good deed.

Mr. Steven is the landlord and owner of the Sungai Pacific Lodge Umudike. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he announced that all his tenants who paid their rents would have made an advance payment and those who haven’t paid, would not have to do so.

These kinds of deeds from random people like Mr. Steven needs to be celebrated and that is exactly what happened.

Mr. Steven Ukpabi today took to his social media page to express his gratitude after he received a special award for being a humanitarian. He emphasized that he never expected in return but he’s grateful to those who made the award a reality.

Mr. Ukpabi was honored by Hon Sani Abubakar, who is the Special Assistant to Minister of FCT, Abuja. He received the humanitarian special award after he was invited by A.I.D for the special award.

We say congrats to Mr. Ukpabi.
