President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Malik Basintale as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
Basintale, formerly the Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), assumes this pivotal role when youth unemployment poses significant socio-economic challenges. Under his leadership, YEA plans to introduce innovative job creation initiatives, focusing on equipping the youth with skills in technology, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.

Basintale stressed the importance of fostering public-private partnerships to create sustainable employment opportunities.
His tenure is expected to prioritize transparency and inclusivity, ensuring that resources reach underserved communities.
NDC officials have expressed confidence in Basintale’s ability to drive impactful change at YEA, given his track record of commitment to national development.
As he settles into his new role, Ghanaians are eager to see how his leadership will shape the future of youth employment in the country.
