A few days ago, headlines were abuzz with the news that Ghanaian rapper Medikal had blocked Nigerian superstar Davido on social media after Davido unfollowed him.
Medikal did not provide a reason for this drastic action, leading to widespread speculation.
Allegations have now emerged suggesting that Medikal blocked Davido after discovering that Davido allegedly had an affair with Medikal’s then-partner, Fella Makafui. According to a Snapchat user, the affair occurred while Makafui was still in a relationship with Medikal. Despite previously collaborating on a song, Medikal decided to sever ties with Davido after learning of the alleged infidelity.
Complicating matters further, Medikal himself has been accused of cheating on Makafui with songstress Eazzy, with rumors suggesting they have a child together. Following these accusations, Makafui reportedly filed for divorce.
Medikal has been on a spree of revelations in recent weeks, leveling numerous accusations against his ex-wife, Fella Makafui. Among these, he claimed that Makafui physically assaulted him by hitting him with a coffee cup and repeatedly striking him.
In response, Makafui issued a statement denying many of Medikal’s claims. “Recently, however, my husband has been making a little too many public statements on our marriage, our beloved daughter, my family, and my businesses. These public statements, considerable parts of which are a great departure from the truth, have caused significant hurt to me, my family, and to my businesses,” the statement read.
Makafui confirmed that they have mutually agreed to end their four-year marriage. Out of respect for both families and in the best interest of their daughter, Island, she emphasized her intention to “resort to only lawful and appropriate forums” to address her grievances.
She also appealed to the public for privacy as they navigate through this difficult period.
