I guess behind every successful man or woman is a sad story which ultimately underlines the fact that with determination, one can anything under sun.
Medikal is currently one of the biggest acts in Ghana, which also means when it comes to the money aspect, he’s also a BIG boy. In fact it’s no secret that he’s rated one of the richest artistes in Ghana.
However before the gloss and flamboyance, there was something that happened during his schooldays which nearly derailed the musician’s plan of becoming a superstar.
Her mom spoke to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM and recounted how Medikal was sacked from Odorgonno Senior High School because the authorities of the school at the time felt he was a negative influence on most of the students.
Asked the type of influence the school described as a negative one, madam Porshia Lamptey revealed on the ‘Daybreak Hitz’ show that she was told Medikal was always rapping and as such most of the boys were avoiding classes.
The caring mother further disclosed that because she could not bear the thought that her son was going be dismissed from another after seeing two dismissals already, she was willing to do everything the authorities requested.
The mom volunteered to sweep the office of the headmaster and all the other offices in the school as punishment for her son’s misdemeanour.
Aside the office, madam Porshia Lamptey stated that she also swept the whole compound of the school before Medikal was finally allowed to complete Odorgonno Senior High School.
