Motor Rider Shot By Soldier At Coronavirus Checkpoint For Using Unapproved Route

OccupyGh.com has gathered that a motor rider has been shot by a soldier at Nsawam Adoagyir Municipality for using an unapproved route.

According to reports gathered, the 50-year-old motor rider refused several signs to stop when he attempted to use the unapproved route.

The military man indicated that the victim jumped a bamboo barricade at the barrier where the security officers were doing road snap checks and nearly ran into some military men there.

The military man then aimed at the tire of his motorcycle and shot at it in an attempt to stop him.

The yet-to-be-identified motor rider who fell off the motorcycle and sustained some injuries was immediately rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital for treatment.

According to the Nsawam Divisional Police Commander, Sup. Marian Adu-Osei, the victim claimed that his brakes failed him and that was the reason he could not stop when signaled to.
