Ghanaian musician Akwaboah has come to the defense of his wife following criticisms over her behavior captured on camera during their wedding.
In a recent interview with Delay on TV3, Akwaboah explained that the seemingly rude attitude displayed by his wife was directed at her younger sister, who was misbehaving.
“I love my wife because she is a strong woman who doesn’t allow anyone to take advantage of her,” Akwaboah said, emphasizing her protective nature.
During the interview, Akwaboah also addressed rumors that he has children with two other women and had left them to marry a virgin. This is the first time he has publicly spoken about the matter. He clarified that circumstances beyond his control led to his marriage to a virgin.
“In life, we give ourselves some timelines or we expect certain things to happen, but they don’t go as planned. But we still move on.
Growing up as a man, I wasn’t happy about having children with two separate women and leaving them to marry another. But situations happened, and it’s something I cannot explain now,” Akwaboah shared.
When asked if his past relationships could have been maintained under different circumstances, Akwaboah admitted that peaceful conditions might have led to a different outcome. “Perhaps, if those relationships had been more peaceful, I would have remained in them,” he said.
