The New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana has officially announced Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate for their presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in a significant political development.
This crucial decision was reached and unanimously endorsed by the NPP’s National Council, solidifying the party’s leadership ticket for the upcoming December 7 elections.
The announcement came after a high-stakes meeting at the Alisa Hotel, which saw the attendance of key party figures, including President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia, underscoring the importance of this selection.
With this strategic pairing, the NPP aims to present a formidable team to the Ghanaian electorate, combining Bawumia’s experience as the current Vice President with Prempeh’s political acumen.
The party is now gearing up to launch its manifesto, outlining its vision and promises for Ghana’s future.
In preparation for the electoral contest, the NPP plans to conduct an extensive campaign across all 275 constituencies, seeking to secure the support of voters nationwide.
