The Ghana Police Service has successfully located the 12-year-old girl reportedly married to the 63-year-old Gborbu Wulomo in Nungua, Accra.
Currently, both the girl and her mother are under police protection.
Working in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, as well as the Department of Social Welfare, the police are ensuring the girl receives the essential support needed during this period.
The authorities are actively investigating the matter to ascertain the facts surrounding the alleged marriage and ensure the safety and well-being of the young girl.
