Just In: Prophet Badu Attacks Appietus

Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi is not backing out from his stance on women from certain tribe in the country as the Founder of Glorious Wave International Church continues to defend what he said a couple of days back.

The Prophet has been under public criticism for saying that Ashanti women are generally greedy. According to Prophet Badu, anyone who marries an Ashanti woman has ‘imported problems’ into his house.

“If you marry Ashanti lady, you have imported problem to yourself forever. I have done research and it is so… Ashanti ladies are ungrateful to their husband and I have to say it…

They have a proverb translated as ‘Ashantis don’t remember’ and if you marry them and go broke, you will see how they will roast you,”

As if not to say enough, Mr Badu went further to state that Fante women are too ‘foolish’ and women of Ewe descent are ‘doormats’.

Joining the few celebs that have spoken on this issue is Ghanaian music producer Appietus. According to Appietus, Prophet Badu has “…insulted the Ashanti Queen. I’m an Ashanti and I know he’s a fool and stupid.”

“I can’t respect him because he doesn’t respect himself. Do you think Rev Obofour, Mensah Otabil and Duncan Williams will do this?. Are Ashanti women not in his church? He should be taken on by Ashanti women and should apologise.” He added.

Prophet Badu seems not too happy with Appietus’ reaction has slammed back, saying the music engineer’s carrier has expired.

“You get a music producer whose musical works have been expired, go on air, speak as if he knows you.” Prophet Badu jabs.
