A young prophet, James of ‘Path to the Everlasting Life Ministries has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for reportedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl reported to be a member of his church.
According to the details gathered by occupygh.com, the unfortunate news happened in Malawi.
The sentence was handed to the man of God at a mobile court session by First Grade Magistrate George Chimombo of Chisenjere Magistrate Court on Tuesday, December 14 2021.
According to Magistrate George, the so-called prophet used his place of influence to deceive the girl whom he was supposed to look after. James of ‘Path to the Everlasting Life Ministries’, impregnated the girl. He later married her and then dumped her.
According to a police report, the man of God sexually abused the girl in August 2019. He then married her after she took seed.
James claimed he had a revelation via a dream in which God had commanded him to marry the 15-year-old victim.
He thought he would go scot-free but the laws have rightfully dealt with him. In photos, one can see him looking remorseful in handcuffs.
Meanwhile, the Malawi Interfaith AIDS Alliance has hailed the mobile court initiative in handling such cases, saying they would go a long way in civic educating the masses on the ills of sexual violence cases.
