Reactions As John Mahama Reacts To The Death Of Young Man Who Claimed The Electric Pole At Kasoa

Out of the blue, former president of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has reacted to the passing of a Ghanaian man who climbed the electric high-tension pole at Kasoa.

Revealing that he was informed of the sad news after he returned from a trip, John Mahama called for togetherness.

He also talked about the hardship in the country and prayed that Ghanaians ‘keep hope alive”.

Sharing a still image of the young man hanging on the pole, Mahama captioned:

“I returned from a trip to the sad news of Kakra who electrocuted himself. Levels of hardship in Ghana are dire; worst in 3 decades. But suicide is never an answer. Even inthe darkest night there’ll come dawn. The sun will rise again. Let’s be each other’s keeper & keep hope alive”

Netizens took to the post to react:

@BongoIdeas:
“Using the death of the young man to score political points is cheap and basic. People still kill themselves even in better economies.

You can sympathise with the family without necessarily trying to come across as the Messiah.

Everything shouldn’t be about politics!”

@Oben_2020
“Thou i believe you did a better job than the present one, i also want to know, a lot of ppl takes their life due to mental health.”
