
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>In a tragic incident, a grade 10 student from Maladah Senior Secondary School in Kunkujang Jatta-ya, situated in the West Coast Region of the Gambia, reportedly ended her own life last night due to an unwanted pregnancy.</strong></p>



<p>According to local media reports, the student, identified as Mamy Jassey, passed away after consuming a poisonous substance shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024.</p>



<p>She was swiftly taken to a nearby private clinic near Lamin Lodge, where a nurse pronounced her deceased.</p>

<p>As the family began preparations for Mamy’s burial, a lab technician residing in her neighborhood detected signs of life after checking her pulse.</p>



<p>Taking immediate action, the lab technician and several neighbors rushed Mamy to the Banjulunding Health Center.</p>



<p>Despite their efforts, she was once again declared deceased at the health center, prompting a recommendation for a postmortem examination.</p>
