BREAK: Salifu Amoako and Wife Arrested Over Fatal East Legon Accident Involving Their Son

The parents of Salifu Amoako, the teenage driver involved in the tragic East Legon accident that claimed two lives, have been arrested.

Prophet Elisha Salifu Amoako, a renowned Ghanaian preacher, and his wife were taken into custody on October 15, 2024, to assist police in the ongoing investigation.

The accident, which occurred on October 12, 2024, saw their 16-year-old son crash a speeding vehicle into another car on Mensah Wood Street, resulting in a fire that burned two victims beyond recognition.

The police statement confirmed the arrests as part of efforts to uncover more details about the incident.

The teenage driver, who was reportedly on an errand with a friend for a birthday celebration, remains hospitalized, along with the other juvenile in the car at the time of the crash.
