Starlink, the satellite internet service by SpaceX, has officially expanded to South Sudan and is set to begin operations in Ghana by the end of August 2024.
This expansion into Ghana comes after the National Communications Authority completed all necessary licensing and administrative steps, making Ghana the 12th African nation to welcome Starlink.
The service promises to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet, which could revolutionize connectivity across the country.
Starlink’s presence is expected to significantly benefit sectors such as education, business, and communication, offering enhanced internet access to remote and underserved areas.
This expansion is part of Starlink’s broader strategy to increase its footprint across Africa, addressing the continent’s digital divide.
