
<p style="font-size:25px"><strong>The ongoing court case involving a woman who has sued the Chief Finance Officer of a bank for allegedly breaching an agreement to take care of her has yet to be resolved.</strong></p>



<p> Deborah Seyram Adablah filed a lawsuit against Ernest Kwasi Nimako, her &#8220;sugar daddy,&#8221; accusing him of failing to fulfill their agreement. </p>



<p>The case was first heard at the High Court in Accra, and the presiding judge, Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, ordered the parties to file their written submissions to enable the court to delve into the substantive matter.</p>

<p>However, during the latest hearing, lawyers for Nimako filed an application seeking leave to file a supplementary affidavit in support of their written submission. </p>



<p>Counsel for Adablah also filed an application opposing the application filed by Nimako, arguing that his lawyers failed to state precisely the paragraphs of his affidavit they wanted to respond to.</p>



<p>Nimako&#8217;s lawyer, Ama Opoku Amponsah, argued that the counsel&#8217;s position that they ought to have attached a proposed supplementary affidavit was not known to the rules of the court. </p>



<p>The presiding judge, Justice Owusu, adjourned the case to April 6, 2023, to give a ruling on the applications filed by Nimako.</p>



<p>In her suit, Adablah contends that Nimako agreed to buy her a car, pay for her accommodation for three years, give her a monthly stipend of GH¢3,000, marry her after divorcing his wife, and give her a lump sum to start a business. </p>

<p>However, Nimako has taken back the car, denying her access to use it after about a year of enjoying the Honda Civic worth GH¢120,000. </p>



<p>He also paid for only one-year of accommodation, even though he promised to pay for three years.</p>



<p>Adablah, who claims she was forced into the relationship during the period she did her national service at the bank where Nimako works, has also accused him of abuse, sexual harassment, maltreatment, exploitation, and lowering her reputation. </p>



<p>She is seeking an order from the court directed at Nimako to transfer the title of the car into her name and give her back the car. </p>



<p>She is also asking the court to order the defendant to pay her the lump sum to enable her to start a business to take care of herself as agreed by the plaintiff and the defendant.</p>



<p>The case has attracted significant attention from the media, with many following the proceedings closely.</p>



<p> The outcome of the case could have far-reaching implications for similar cases in Ghana and beyond.</p>
