‘Thanks To Nigeria For Making Ghana Music Less Important’ – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian ace dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has come out strong to thank Nigeria for making Ghanaian music less important to the international market.

The 36-year-old artist hopped on Instagram to lament over Nigerian Music overshadowing Ghanaian music.

He wrote that Ghanaian (African) artists are now identified as Afrobeats artists, a title meant only for Nigeria.

According to him, this development is a result of Ghana not having an identity and having stylishly borrowed Nigeria’s identity to cash out.

Though he announced his retirement in April, Shatta Wale disclosed that he has no issue with this development so long as he secures the bag and is cashing out big time.
