Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), bussed from various constituencies to attend the unveiling ceremony of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) in Kumasi yesterday, have voiced strong complaints about the inhumane treatment they received.
Despite their enthusiastic participation, many supporters reported being neglected and frustrated. They were given only GHS 14 for the entire day, with no provision of food or water, contrary to their expectations.
“We were brought here from different places, only to be starved and left without even water,” one supporter lamented. “They just want to use us for their political gain but don’t care about our well-being.”
This dissatisfaction has cast a shadow over the significant NPP event, raising questions about the party’s treatment and welfare of its grassroots supporters. Many of the disgruntled attendees felt exploited and discarded after being transported for the event.
