
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Prof. Amin Alhassan, Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), has publicly challenged Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif&#8217;s claim that GBC received over $3 million for the 2023 African Games coverage.</strong></p>



<p>Prof<a href="https://occupygh.com/tekno-collapses-in-south-africa-during-tour-video">.</a> Alhassan revealed that GBC received only $105,000, a stark contrast to the figure mentioned by Mustapha Ussif, the Sport Minister.</p>



<p>The contract between GBC and the Ministry of Youth and Sports originally outlined that GBC would deliver broadcasting services valued at $3.6 million, with the Ministry responsible for funding this amount.</p>

<p>However, due to GBC&#8217;s limited equipment, the majority of the funds were diverted to foreign third parties for technical production.</p>



<p>This revelation has sparked intense debate, with many questioning the transparency and management of the funds allocated for the event.</p>



<p>The discrepancy has led to increased scrutiny of the financial handling within the Ministry and raised concerns about accountability in government contracts.</p>
