On the 26th of March 2023 (Sunday), the Vice President of the USA Kamala Harris, and the Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff landed at midday in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
In Ghana, Kamara will visit the Cape Coast slave castle, which used to hold enslaved Africans before they were shipped across the Atlantic for sale, mainly in the Caribbean.
Harris launched her meeting with Ghana’s president Nana Akufo-Addo on the 27th of March, 2023.
However, some Ghanaians were complaining about the stage and podium used to welcome Kamara at the airport as inappropriate. They deemed it as too poor a set-up.
Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah posted it and tagged it “Ah”.
Most critics like Kwame A-Plus have also talked against the setup.
