A woman was swept out to sea by massive waves in Sochi, Russia, while her boyfriend tried to save her.
The couple, visiting from Lipetsk, were walking by the water’s edge when the waves hit.
The man tried to rescue her, but she was pulled out to sea. The search for the 20-year-old woman has not found any results yet.
The Southern Regional Search and Rescue Brigade continues their search.
Rescuers have expanded their search area from Rivera beach to the Mamayka microdistrict.
The terrifying incident was caught on camera and has gone viral on social media.
Many are sending condolences to the woman’s loved ones and reminding others of the power of the ocean.
