Rev. Owusu Bempah has fired back at Chairman Wontumi’s threats, stating that he’s not intimidated.
The drama started when Rev. Owusu Bempah alleged that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was behind his arrest years ago.
He shared disturbing details of his encounter with the police and expressed disappointment in President Akufo-Addo for not seeking his side of the story.
Chairman Wontumi, the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Party Chairman, denied the allegations, claiming the NPP had no hand in Rev. Owusu Bempah’s arrest.
He also alleged that Dr. Bawumia visited Rev. Owusu Bempah to receive his blessings, and after the prayer, Rev. Owusu Bempah declared Dr. Bawumia as the next president of the Republic.
However, Rev. Owusu Bempah has dismissed this claim, stating that Dr. Bawumia has never visited his house for any kind of blessing.
Rev. Owusu Bempah, known for his fiery sermons and close ties to high-profile politicians, bragged that he’s a Bantama boy and there’s nothing Wontumi can do to him if he visits Kumasi.
He also claimed that his life was threatened under the direct orders of IGP Dampare. The back-and-forth between Rev. Owusu Bempah and Chairman Wontumi has sparked interest in Ghana’s political landscape.
