A teenager who’s upset over his upbringing has attempted to kill his parents just hours after Mother’s Day ended, expressing disappointment when he learned they both survived the attack he had allegedly been planning for years.
Jeremiah Estel Blair, 19, reportedly shot his parents inside their home in Chandler, about 20 miles from Phoenix, on Monday morning, May 13, according to police.
The victims were rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment for their injuries.
Blair was arrested without incident at the scene and quickly confessed to the shooting, court documents obtained by Fox 10 revealed. He also complained about his childhood.
“Blair reported being upset over his upbringing and felt he was not treated as he should have been as a child,” Chandler police detectives wrote.
Blair admitted he had been planning to kill his parents for years.
