2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Inaki Williams Ruled Out Of Ghana Games Due To Injury

Ghana’s hopes of reviving their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign have suffered a blow as striker Inaki Williams is set to miss the crucial matches against Angola and Niger.

The Athletic Club Bilbao forward sustained a hamstring injury, ruling him out of Sunday’s La Liga fixture against Real Valladolid. Inaki Williams’ club confirmed the injury, stating he strained his left hamstring.

A scan scheduled for Monday will determine the extent of the damage.

Inaki Williams was named in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming qualifiers, but his injury will force Head Coach Otto Addo to rethink his strategy. Ghana seeks to break their winless run in the first four matches and revive their chances of reaching the 2025 AFCON.

The Black Stars will face Angola and Niger in their final qualifying matches, with Williams’ absence potentially impacting the team’s attacking prowess.
