A Ghanaian broadcast journalist Afua Asantewaa has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest solo singing marathon, surpassing the previous record held by Indian legend Sunil Waghmare for 11 years.
According to a video making rounds online, Waghmare personally traveled from India to congratulate Asantewaa, who achieved an incredible 126 hours and 52 minutes, exceeding Waghmare’s record of 105 hours.
Asantewaa embarked on a 5-day singing marathon dedicated to Ghanaian songs, promoting diverse music genres like gospel, highlife, and hiplife.
