Ghanaian tourism ambassador, Afua Asantewaa, has unveiled plans to host another singathon in Kumasi this December, after her initial attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for longest singing by an individual ended in disqualification last year.
In an interview with Akoma FM’s Tony Best, Afua revealed she has obtained clearance from Guinness World Records for the new attempt. “I will be hosting another singathon in Kumasi, God willing,” she stated.
A feasibility study is underway to determine the ideal location in Kumasi, aiming to engage the local community and enhance her ambassadorial role.
Undeterred by her previous disqualification, Afua emphasized, “The fact that I was not successful in my first attempt shouldn’t be a barrier to my quest of becoming a Guinness World Record holder.”
