<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>The statue of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, located at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital Roundabout in Sekondi, Western Region, has been repaired after being vandalized by unknown individuals.</strong></p>



<p>A video circulating on social media shows a gentleman fixing the damage caused to the statue. The Ghana Police Service has initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this act of vandalism.</p>



<p>According to the police, preliminary findings indicate that the statue&#8217;s left leg was damaged, and the accompanying plaque was removed.</p>



<p>The police have assured the public that efforts are underway to bring the culprits to justice and restore the statue to its original state.</p>

<p>The statue, unveiled in November 2024, was intended to honour several key projects initiated under President Akufo-Addo&#8217;s administration in the region.</p>



<p> These projects include the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of the 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the Takoradi Market Circle redevelopment.</p>



<p>However, the statue&#8217;s erection sparked heated debates among some residents, who questioned its relevance and appropriateness. </p>
