<p>However, his expression told a different story, as he was spotted with a frowning face.</p>



<p>Despite the somber expression, President Akuffo-Addo&#8217;s presence at the ceremony underscores the peaceful transfer of power, a hallmark of Ghana&#8217;s democratic process.</p>



<p>The inauguration ceremony, which is expected to draw thousands of Ghanaians and foreign dignitaries, marks the beginning of Mahama&#8217;s second term as president.</p>

<p> The Independence Square, where the ceremony is taking place, was closed from midnight on December 31, 2024, to January 8, 2025, as part of the security arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure inauguration ceremony.</p>



<p>With President Akuffo-Addo&#8217;s arrival, the stage is set for the formal transfer of power to President-elect Mahama.</p>



<p>Despite the initial somber expression, it remains to be seen how the rest of the ceremony will unfold.</p>
