Angry Parent Curses Akufo-Addo Over COVID-19 Scares In Accra Girls SHS
An angry mother of a student in Accra Girls Senior High School has descended on the president of Ghana, Akufo Addo for putting restrictions on the ability to speak to her ward amid COVID-19 scares that hit the school.
The parents of these students stormed the school premises with the fear that, their children would become exposed to the deadly coronavirus, hence, requesting the government and ministry of education, to allow their wards to return back home.
Upon the arrival of the parents at the gate of Accra Girls Senior High School, parents were denied coming into contact with their wards and were as well ignored at the entrance, not attended to.
This however made them furious, which caused some of them to verbally attack and rain curses on the president.
She indicated that the president has no right to hold her ward hostage and to deny parents from getting access to their children, hence threatening him to not vote for him in this coming election in December.
Parents of the students have become very worried since the increment in the recorded cases of COVID-19 in Accra Girls Senior High school, as they do not know if their wards are inclusive or not.
They insist that mass testing is done for all the students, so that those that test negative, would be released to go home for those that test positive, to be quarantined and treated in the school premises.
