The police in Los Angeles stormed the residence of the famous singer Rihanna after an unknown man showed up to propose marriage to her.
According to TMZ, the police were called in by the security team of Rihanna as they suspected the man was a trespasser.
The young man, who was reportedly wearing a red hoodie and a pair of black jeans, had traveled all the way from South Carolina with the intention of proposing to the R&B star.
When he arrived at the entrance of Rihanna’s home, he informed the security that he had come to propose to the singer.
The police were immediately called in and they arrived at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills address around 12:30 p.m. local time.
The man was arrested for trespassing, but since he did not go beyond Rihanna’s driveway, he was later released after being questioned.
It is unclear whether Rihanna, who is currently pregnant with her and A$AP Rocky’s second child, was at home during the incident.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the man was arrested and taken into custody, but did not provide any additional information.
This is not the first time that Rihanna’s residence has been the target of unwanted attention.
In 2018, her Hollywood Hills home was burglarized, and in 2019, a man was arrested for trying to break into her home in Pacific Palisades.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of high-profile celebrities, particularly during pregnancy.
