Asuoso SHS: Student Stabs His Teacher In The Eyes During An Altercation

A devastating incident has occurred at the Asuoso Senior High School in Offinso North, where a 26-year-old teacher has lost his sight after being stabbed in the eye by a student.

According to a report by Channel 1 Television, the student, identified as Alex Annor, was punished by the teacher for an undisclosed offense.

Enraged by the disciplinary action, Annor confronted the teacher, leading to a violent altercation that resulted in the teacher being stabbed in the eye.

The police were notified, and Annor was arrested and later granted bail. However, the incident has sparked widespread outrage, with the Ashanti Regional Chapter of the Ghana National Teachers Association (GNAT) calling for justice for the victimized teacher.

In an interview with Channel 1 Television, the teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous, revealed that the school has been suspended indefinitely due to threats from young people in the community.

The teacher’s loss of sight has sent shockwaves through the community, and many are demanding that Annor face the full force of the law.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of teachers in Ghanaian schools.

The GNAT has called for increased security measures to be implemented in schools to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

As the investigation into the incident continues, many are left to wonder how such a heinous act could occur in a place of learning.
