In a shocking turn of events, Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the married director of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), has been released by the court after being arrested for his involvement in hundreds of s-x tapes that went viral on social media.
The XxXXX videos, which showed Ebang engaging in intimate acts with several women, including wives of prominent officials, at his office in the finance ministry, sparked widespread outrage and prompted the authorities to take action.
Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue announced on X that the government would suspend all civil servants who had engaged in s-xual relations in ministry offices, citing a flagrant violation of the code of conduct and public ethics.
However, despite the public backlash, Ebang was released by the court due to a lack of evidence of wrongdoing, as all the women involved in the videos had reportedly consented to the activities.
But just weeks after his release, over 50 new videos featuring Ebang with married women and single ladies surfaced on social media, leaving many to question the official’s conduct and the government’s handling of the scandal.
