Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, is intensifying his campaign efforts through active constituency tours across Ghana.
Recently, he visited various regions, including the Eastern Region, engaging directly with communities in towns such as Asesewa and Akropong to garner support ahead of the December 2024 elections.
His campaign has focused on a wide range of stakeholders, from market traders and youth to traditional leaders and religious communities, reflecting a grassroots approach.
A key highlight of Bawumia’s platform is his comprehensive plan for the elderly, which includes introducing an Ageing Act to ensure better care and protection.
He also proposes the establishment of Homecare services, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers to support assisted living and community integration for older adults.
On September 2, 2024, Bawumia reinforced his commitment by visiting multiple churches and communities in the Greater Accra Region to discuss these policies and connect with elderly citizens.
