In a shocking revelation, Dr. Amoako Baah, a renowned political scientist and a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has disclosed that a faction within the party, comprising Asantes, is secretly planning to change the party’s name to New Patriotic Force.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Captain Smart on ONUA TV, Dr. Amoako Baah attributed the NPP’s loss in the recent election to economic mismanagement and the arrogance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He also criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, for allowing himself to be used as a tool to destroy the party.
Dr. Amoako Baah, who has been a vocal critic of the party’s leadership, also took a swipe at Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), a former Minister of Education, for his infamous comments against Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
According to Dr. Amoako Baah, the proposed new party, New Patriotic Force, will retain the NPP’s traditional colors, albeit with a slight modification. The party’s symbol will also undergo a change, replacing the iconic elephant with a new emblem.
