
<p>Bridget Otoo, a news anchor for Metro TV in Ghana and a well-known media figure in the country, has described how some police officers mistreated her at a recent protest by activists.</p>



<p>Today, September 21st 2023, activists organised the #OccupyJulorbiHouse (Julorbi, a corruption of Jubilee House, to wit: &#8220;son of a thief&#8221;) protest.</p>



<p>However, police officials dispersed the demonstration and detained people there; the majority of them were taken to a number of police stations scattered throughout the nation&#8217;s capital.</p>



<p>TV host Bridget Otoo was one of the people who was arrested and mistreated.</p>



<p>She added that several of the protesters&#8217; phones had also been taken by the police.</p>



<p>Bridget described how she attempted to stop a young man from being taken away by some police officers for committing no crime, causing her dress to rip.</p>



<p>Bridget Otoo expressed her dissatisfaction with the way the security guards handled the entire situation.</p>
