Popular media personality Captain Smart has responded to a viral video circulating on social media, which allegedly shows him inciting the youth to attack the Obuasi Gold mines, resulting in the tragic loss of 15 lives.
In his defense, Captain Smart claims the video was recorded in 2023, long before the recent clash, and was not intended to promote lawlessness.
According to Captain Smart, the video was meant to raise awareness about corruption among government officials, not to encourage violence.

He also took the opportunity to accuse the NPP youth of using old videos to attack him on issues he’s not familiar with.
The controversy surrounding Captain Smart’s alleged incitement has sparked heated debates on social media, with many calling for accountability and others defending his right to free speech.
As the investigation into the Obuasi Gold mines clash continues, Captain Smart’s response has added another layer of complexity to the narrative.
