
<p class="has-drop-cap">A 72-year-old Catholic priest based in Italy has died from the novel <a href="https://occupygh.com/category/coronavirus">coronavirus</a>. </p>



<p>Father Giuseppe Berardelli had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and his parishioners bought him a respirator mask which he opted to donate to a much younger patient suffering from the virus. </p>

<p>According to a Catholic Outlook, the man of God was pronounced dead at a hospital in Lovere in Lambardy region of northern Italy which has become the world epicenter of the infection.</p>



<p class="has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color">&#8220;Yes, Don Giuseppe had given up on the respirator, even if he needed it, and this is perhaps the best photograph of the soul of a priest who in the years spent in Val Seriana had conquered every<a href="https://occupygh.com/breaking-ghanas-coronavirus-cases-rises-to-52">.</a> He was a priest who listened to everyone, he knew how to listen, whoever turned to him knew that he could count on his help,&#8221; eulogized Fiorano mayor Clara Poli. </p>

<p>At least, six priests including Berardelli reportedly died of the virus in the last one week alone in northern Italy while 14 more remained admitted in hospitals. </p>
