Cecelia Dapaah Allegedly Rans From Ghana To Avoid Being Jailed

Just days after President Mahama’s inauguration, social media is abuzz with claims that former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, has fled the country to avoid imprisonment.

A video shared by Amazing TV on YouTube alleges that Dapaah left Ghana a day before the inauguration, sparking widespread speculation about her whereabouts.

At the heart of the controversy are allegations that Dapaah misappropriated state funds for personal use during her tenure under former President Nana Addo.

While these claims are yet to be substantiated, they have ignited intense debate and raised questions about accountability within the former administration.

It’s worth noting that Dapaah has previously faced scrutiny over corruption allegations. In July 2023, the Office of the Special Prosecutor launched an investigation into suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses involving Dapaah and her spouse.

The probe uncovered large sums of cash, including $590,000 and GH₵2,730,000, during searches of properties linked to the couple.

As the rumors surrounding Dapaah’s escape continue to swirl, many are calling for clarity and transparency. While some have expressed skepticism about the allegations, others are demanding accountability and justice.
