The wife of Cecilia Dapaah, a former sanitation minister, has filed a lawsuit against her in an effort to recoup the allegedly missing $800,000 from her late brother.
NPP propaganda journalist Paul Adom-Otchere came out to defend the Minister after obscene sums of money were allegedly stolen by her housemaids, asserting that $800,000 of the purportedly stolen $1 million belonged to her deceased brother.
Former Asante chief Nana Akwasi Essan II, Cecilia Dapaah’s brother, passed away in 2022.

Paul Adom-Otchere claims that the indignation over the missing money was subdued since, of the $1 million that was taken, only $200,000 belonged to Cecilia Dapaah.
He further asserted that the Minister’s husband was the rightful owner of an additional 300,000 euros that went missing.
However, in a recent development, the late Nana Akwasi Essan II’s wife has came forward, admitting she was unaware that Cecilia Dapaah was in possession of such a significant amount of money that belonged to her husband.
Since her late husband’s property must be given to her and their children in accordance with Ghanaian law, she has consequently started legal actions to collect the money.
