
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong><a href="https://occupygh.com/ghanas-standard-of-living-surpasses-uks-despite-hardship-chairman-wontumi">Chairman Wontumi</a>, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has boldly claimed that he can manipulate the National Democratic Congress&#8217;s (NDC) ballot position for the 2024 presidential election.</strong></p>



<p>Reacting to news of Prophet Owusu Bempah meeting with NDC candidate John Mahama, Wontumi remarked that if dared, he could shift the NDC from its 8th position on the ballot to the 6th or 7th<a href="https://occupygh.com/akua-donkor-unveils-roman-fada-as-running-mate-for-2024-elections">.</a> This statement was made to emphasize his influence in Ghana’s political landscape, with Wontumi asserting his power over election dynamics.</p>



<p>Referring to some as &#8220;Pharisees,&#8221; he hinted that behind-the-scenes politics can sway more than public opinion.</p>

<p>His comment has sparked conversations, especially as ballot positions are usually determined by random selection through the Electoral Commission.</p>
