Coco Treyy – a Ghanaian musician noted for wearing revealing dresses has claimed in a latest interview that she sees nothing wrong doing it, OccupyGh.com reports.
According to the singer, real name Tracy Adu Opoku, she is not ready to conform what the Ghanaian culture preaches about what to wear and what not.
To the afro-pop artiste, she loves to bare more flesh and these clothes represents who she is so people should accept her that way.
“I do not see anything wrong with what I wear or how I wear it. I will not conform to what culture says and lose myself, that is how I want to represent myself so I should be accepted that way,” Coco Treyy told Graphic Showbiz in an interview.
Although, the ‘Dedeede’ singer admits she is yet to receive any condemnation from the public, with regards to the body-revealing clothes she wears, she won’t take negative criticisms.
“So far, I have not received any bashing yet but honestly, I have decided not to listen to anything that will not impact me in a positive way. I try not to be that kind of person who takes what people say to heart,” the trained nurse from Netherlands said.
Coco Treyy has also bemoaned the lack of support in the industry, especially with regards to female acts. However, she admits she is determined and has a solid team behind her who is ready to help her make it in the music industry.
She performed at a number of big events since joining the industry few months ago. She recently shared stage with the likes of Medikal, R2bees, Teni, and Wande Coal at the 2019 Ghana Meets Naija.
