
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Asamoah &#8216;Baby Jet&#8217; Gyan and Kevin-Prince Boateng, two former Black Stars teammates, got into a fight over the explanation for the latter&#8217;s removal from the team at the 2014 World Cup.</strong></p>



<p>In a recent interview, Kevin-Prince Boateng admitted that despite his efforts on behalf of the entire team, no one supported him when he and Sulley Muntary were expelled from the camp.</p>



<p>When Ghanaian players protested the FA and government over unpaid incentives during the turbulent 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil, Boateng was making a reference to that situation.</p>



<p>Sulley Muntari and Boateng, who co-led the uprising, were both kicked out of camp following a particularly heated argument.</p>



<p>The saddest thing, according to KPB, is that despite the fact that they were fighting for the squad as a whole when the incident occurred, no one on their team came to their defence.</p>



<p>Asamoah Gyan, the team captain at the time, stepped out to defend himself following his comments.</p>



<p>Kevin&#8217;s instance occurred on the practise pitch between him and the coach in front of everyone, the author stated. The coach made that choice because he believed Kevin had repeatedly disrespected him through his choice of words. Kevin was unaware that we repeatedly stood up for him in secret.</p>



<p>But on that particular day, the coach lost his cool and reacted. I initially noticed Kwesi Appiah reacting and becoming upset at that point. It was the coach&#8217;s decision in Kevin&#8217;s instance. As team captain, that is the reality.</p>



<p>Gyan was criticized by Ghanaians for not having the guts to publicly defend his comrades.</p>



<p>&#8220;I love you, Capito… But since you were the captain, the entire squad ought to have skipped the game. One netizen responded, &#8220;We don&#8217;t demonstrate solidarity, which is one of the reasons our putative leaders take us all for granted.</p>
