Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Captain Smart has made a heartfelt plea to Ghanaians to pray for two prominent figures: Ken Ofori-Atta, the former finance minister, and Mike Oquaye, the former speaker of parliament.
During his popular Onua Maakye show, Captain Smart expressed concern about an impending “death doom” in Ghana, urging those who know how to pray to do so for the well-being of these leaders.
Captain Smart emphasized that his call to prayer was not a wish for harm to befall either Ofori-Atta or Oquaye, but rather a precautionary measure to safeguard their lives.
This appeal has sparked widespread attention, with many Ghanaians taking to social media to share their thoughts and prayers for the two leaders.
Ken Ofori-Atta, who recently stepped down as finance minister after a cabinet reshuffle, has been instrumental in shaping Ghana’s economic landscape.

As the co-founder of Databank Group, a Ghanaian financial services company, Ofori-Atta brought his expertise to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning from 2017 to 2024.
Mike Oquaye, a respected politician and former speaker of parliament, has also played a significant role in shaping Ghana’s governance. His leadership experience and dedication to the country’s development have earned him admiration from many.
Will you join Captain Smart in praying for the well-being of these Ghanaian leaders?
