The host of a Ghanaian media program, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, has explained why couples shouldn’t spend money on one other.
Speaking to Berla Mundi on the Day Show on TV3, Akumaa Mama Zimbi disclosed that only married couples are required to spend money on one another; single individuals are not.
She felt that save for exceptional occasions like birthdays, couples should not spend money on one another.
If their boyfriends’ rooms lack chairs, Akumaa also encouraged women not to sit on the bed.
Dr. Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, also known professionally as Akumaa Mama Zimbi, is a journalist for Ghanaian television and radio, a supporter of women’s rights, a blogger, a marriage counselor, and an actress.
Akumaa is renowned for her intriguing, yet enticing, methods of saying “Medaase” (Thank you).
Additionally, the unique ways she wears her headwear give her the distinct Akumaa brand. Akumaa’s early years, family, and educational background are all poorly known.
However, it is well known that she has been married for more than 30 years to a businessman and that her father is a police officer.
