
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Youth in Dormaa Ahenkro has taken matters into their own hands by arresting more than 10 individuals who were engaging in illegal mining, also known as galamsey, within the community.</strong></p>



<p> This decisive action aligns with the stance of Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu, who has consistently spoken out against illegal mining activities in the area.</p>



<p>The Dormaahene, a respected traditional leader, has made it clear that he will not tolerate any form of galamsey in his jurisdiction, citing the environmental damage and disruption it brings to local communities.</p>

<p>Following the arrests, he expressed his full support for the youth&#8217;s actions, emphasizing that such activities are not welcome in Dormaa.</p>



<p>The arrests depicts the growing determination among local communities to protect their land and environment from the harmful impacts of illegal mining, even as national efforts to curb the practice continue.</p>
