Dramatic Confrontation Erupts At Obuasi East Polling Station As NDC Officer Clashes With Armed Soldiers

A tense standoff between an NDC communications officer and two soldiers attempting to access a polling station in the Obuasi East constituency has raised concerns about the presence of military personnel at polling stations.

The incident, which occurred on December 7, 2024, has sparked widespread attention and debate.

Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation began when the soldiers, armed and in uniform, tried to enter the polling station.

The NDC communications officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, firmly refused to let the soldiers in, leading to a heated exchange.

Videos of the incident circulating on social media show the officer and soldiers locked in a tense standoff, with the officer insisting that the soldiers leave the area.
