Controversial Ghanaian man of God, Opambour Ebenezer, popularly known as Prophet 1, has weighed in on the debate surrounding the impact of Akua Donkor’s passing on John Mahama’s election prospects.
Speaking on Prophet 1 TV, Opambour stated that Akua Donkor’s death will not affect the former president’s chances in the upcoming election.
According to Opambour, although Mahama’s position on the ballot paper may change, his recognition among Ghanaians will remain unchanged.
“Among the presidential candidates on the ballot box, John Mahama is different, and many Ghanaians know him by face,” Opambour noted.
Rumors had circulated that Mahama’s strategy of instructing supporters to vote for the candidate at number 8 on the ballot paper would be disrupted by Akua Donkor’s passing, potentially affecting his election chances.
However, the Electoral Commission has clarified that the ballot arrangement will remain unchanged, despite Donkor’s death.
Opambour’s statement echoes the Electoral Commission’s stance, emphasizing that Mahama’s recognition factor will shield him from any potential impact. With the election looming, this development provides clarity on the implications of Akua Donkor’s passing on the presidential race.
